I’m sure there are things you’ve been wondering about boudoir sessions that may even have been holding you back from booking a shoot. I’m going to try to answer some of the most common FAQs!

⭐️ I’m really nervous. Is that normal?

It is definitely normal to be nervous for your boudoir session, so don’t worry. Most of my clients are nervous until the session has gone on for a few minutes. After it starts, you’ll begin to loosen up and have fun!

⭐️ How will I know how to pose?

Don’t worry about posing. I’ve totally got you covered in that department! I know all the tricks to create the most flattering angles for you, no matter what shape or size you are.

⭐️ Do your sessions include hair and makeup?

Yes, my sessions include hair and makeup as part of the session fee, so you’ll get an hour of pampering on the day before your shoot starts!

⭐️ Am I allowed to bring a friend or family member to my session?

I allow people to bring one support person if it makes them feel more at ease. Most of the time, however, people don’t want to bring anyone as it’s more nerve wracking to have someone you know watching! I also ask that the person you bring is quiet and respectful during the shoot; we don’t need a “backseat driver” commentary while you’re strutting your stuff.

⭐️ Do you provide the wardrobe?

If you don’t have your own outfits, I do offer a large selection of lingerie and accessories in my client wardrobe! I have a range of colours, styles and sizes (XS-XXXL), and if you need help choosing an outfit I can help you with that too.

⭐️ I want to share these pictures with my partner, but I don’t want loose prints floating around, or any big photos of myself on the wall. Any ideas for the best gift?

This is a very common concern and I totally understand. I recommend choosing an image collection that includes an album. This is much more discreet than single prints and will keep all of your images in one place. The albums I offer are really luxurious and make for beautiful gifts!

⭐️ Will my session be with a male or female photographer?

My team is composed of all women, so you will have a female makeup artist to give you a makeover, me as a female photographer for your photo session, and my albums are even handmade by all female bookbinders.

⭐️ Do you retouch the photos?

Yes, I will give your images some basic colour and brightness adjustments, skin smoothing, and remove any blemishes or marks. My general rule is, if it’s temporary I’ll edit it out, if it’s permanent I don’t touch it (unless specifically requested). So if you have any stretch marks or scars that you’d like removed, simply make a special request for this on the day of the session.

⭐️ I’m not a model – are boudoir photos still flattering even if my body isn’t perfect?

Absolutely! Nobody is perfect and every woman is sexy. I have been doing this for over 12 years, and I know how to use light and angles to make you look amazing. If you have any specific concerns, contact me and we can talk about it!

⭐️ Do I have control over who sees my images? 

Yes, absolutely. I will only share your photos if you have given me permission in a signed model release. Most people are happy to share their images, but some don’t want them on social media, and I totally respect that. If you prefer they stay 100% private for your eyes only, that’s completely fine.
