Preparing For Your Boudoir Session ❤️

So you’re considering a boudoir session. How exciting!  You might be wondering what you should do to prepare for such an event. Below I have listed helpful pointers to make sure your session goes smoothly:

• Pamper yourself! This is a great way to destress and enjoy the entire process. Find a salon and freshen your hair colour and trim the split ends. Treat yourself to a manicure-pedicure day with your besties.

• Drink plenty of water, exfoliate and moisturise leading up to your session (including exfoliating lips) for beautiful dewy skin!

• Spend time trying on outfits suitable for your body type. Stay away from anything too tight or uncomfortable. Every person is different, and every person is beautiful. The more outfits you bring with you, the better. Your photographer will help you make the final selections on the day and create enough variety for a varied collection of photos. If you are on the skinnier side, shoot for brighter colours or horizontal lines! If you are on the curvier side, try bodysuits and dark colours!

• Wash your hair the day before the session, and make sure you arrive at the studio with a clean makeup free face and dry hair.

• Relax! Get plenty of sleep., don’t plan anything stressful the day before or the morning of the session.

• Eat breakfast. This is a big one! All too often people decide to skip the most important meal of the day in fear of looking bloated for their shoot, and then end up feeling lightheaded and lethargic. Eating a healthy breakfast is much better than having your shoot ruined by feeling sluggish.
