Hi, I’m Malin!
I’m the founder of Willow Branch Photography and a full-time boudoir photographer, specialising in creating elegant, tasteful images for women who want to feel confident, beautiful, and truly seen!
With over 15 years of experience and a Bachelor of Photography from Griffith University, I’ve dedicated my career to photographing women women from all walks of life in a way that feels both natural and empowering. I love making people feel beautiful and confident, while always staying authentic to themselves.
There’s something incredibly special about watching a woman walk in feeling nervous, and leave standing a little taller, seeing herself differently.
When you meet me you’ll probably wonder where my accent is from; I’m originally from Norway but have called Australia home for 20 years now. I’m a natural redhead and that incredibly pale, bordering on translucent, person that blends in with the sand at the beach (hello SPF 50+). I have two beautiful little boys and a super supportive husband (who is also a photographer) in a busy but loving home, shared with a fluffy white dog and majestic tuxedo cat. You’ll often see me with an emotional support coffee in hand, and when I’m not behind the camera, I’ll probably be in front of a laptop working on my creative writing.
And in the studio… it’s calm, welcoming, and all about YOU.
How it Works
When you arrive at the Studio
From the moment you walk into my private studio, everything is designed to help you relax.
You’ll be welcomed with a cold drink, soft music playing in the background while you’re getting your hair and makeup done, in a calm, beautifully styled space that feels warm, comfortable, and completely yours for the day. The studio is fully air-conditioned and cosy year-round, with thoughtfully chosen furniture and props to create a variety of stunning looks.
Take your time, settle in, and enjoy the experience — there’s nothing you need to rush or worry about!
Makeup & Hair
Every session includes professional hair and makeup, because you deserve to feel taken care of from the very beginning.
My experienced team will work with you to create a look that feels like you — whether that’s soft and natural or something a little more glam. Before we begin, we’ll chat about your preferences, what you feel comfortable in, and the overall vibe you’d love for your shoot.
And then you can simply sit back, relax, and enjoy being pampered, knowing you’re in expert hands.
Client Wardrobe
Not sure what to wear? You don’t have to figure it out on your own.
I offer a curated client wardrobe filled with beautiful lingerie and accessories in a range of styles, colours, and sizes from XS to 5XL. Whether you bring your own pieces or choose from the studio collection, I’ll guide you through styling options that suit your body and the look you want to create.
Everything is designed to help you feel comfortable, confident, and completely yourself!
The Shoot
Once you’re ready, we begin the shoot — and this is where the magic happens!
It’s completely normal to feel nervous at the start. Almost every woman does. But you won’t be left wondering what to do for a single second.
I guide you through every pose, every movement, and every expression in a way that feels natural and easy! You don’t need any experience, and you definitely don’t need to “know what you’re doing” when it comes to posing or anything else.
And if you need a little reassurance along the way, I’ll show you a few sneak peeks on the back of the camera, so you can see just how incredible you actually look.
And I promise, you’ll have so much fun. I cheer you on, you balance on high heels in a flamingo pose, and we laugh a lot!
The Product Viewing
After your session, the experience doesn’t just end — this is where it all comes together.
I’ll guide you through your image collections and show you the beautiful products available, from handcrafted albums to elegant wall art.
Most women have an idea of what they might like, but there is nothing better than to see, hold and touch the actual products, and this is your chance to experience the quality in person before you finalise you decisions!
After your session
Once you are home and still soaking up how incredible you felt, your images will be ready to view within 24 hours.
You’ll receive access to a private, password-protected gallery where you can take your time, revisit your favourites, and make your selections in a relaxed, pressure-free space.
If your collection includes an album or wall art, I’ll work with you to design something truly beautiful, helping you choose the images that tell your story in the most meaningful way.
Your final digital images will be carefully retouched and delivered within approximately two weeks of your selection.
All physical products, including albums and wall art, are custom made and typically arrive within 3–6 weeks, handcrafted to be treasured for years to come.
